Ramy Goldstein is a pioneer of algorithmic businesses in finance. He founded IVC, one of the first movers in high-frequency trading in Europe, and a highly successful firm he headed for 10 years.More recently he has been involved in the application of Artificial Intelligence in diverse fields as digital assets, wellness and hospitality. He serves as a director of The Sababah Company, a hospitality focussed enterprise creating restaurants under the brands of Eyal Shani, the award winning Israeli chef. He is Senior Adviser to GCW Global Customised Wealth, a global investment management firm providing comprehensive portfolio solutions to sophisticated individuals and select institutions. He currently invests, advises, and mentors in the areas of his expertise (and sometimes beyond.)Ramy was vice chairman of UBS Limited in London where he founded the global equity derivatives division which won the International Financing Review award. Under his leadership the division became a major global provider of equity derivatives winning major mandates, notably the ESOP of Deutsche Telecom. He held senior positions at UBS and Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) in New York, Tokyo, and London.Ramy taught portfolio theory and corporate finance at the Graduate School of Business, New York University and to the senior faculty at the Yale Law School.In addition to his long track record of creating profitable businesses using his hands-on approach, Ramy also holds Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. degrees in economics from Yale University. His Ph.D. adviser and mentor was the late MIT Professor Steve A. Ross whose work is fundamental to modern financial economics and who was an active director in Ramy's company for many years. Ramy received his B.A. in economics from Cambridge University and holds an M.A. degree from the University.He is a founding member of the Foundation for the Advancement of Research in Financial Economics, an Inaugural Member of the Yale Development Council, and a Sterling Fellow of Yale University.
