I started my offshore career in Fugro 2005 as Survey engineer, and promoted to Party Chief on 2012.PARTY CHIEF role:. Have strong technically, skilled at leading an engineering survey as well as being client facing.· Managing and supervising the offshore survey team.· Liaising with offshore client personnel.· Preparing and reviewing survey procedures.. Preparing and reviewing projects risk assessments.. Reviewing project execution plan before issue.· Supervising checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project.· Coordinating and managing the mobilisation of survey equipment and software on vessels.· Conducting Quality Control of collected positioning, video and survey data quality.· Providing offshore appraisals and feedback to survey team members.. Have extensive offshore experience offshore survey.· Have experience of supervising teams offshore.. First party chief in Fugro Egypt applying Fugro Safety Leadership Program when doing a project for Shell on board EDT Zenon and Fugro Kobi Ruegg.SENIOR SURVEY ENGINEER role:. Work closely with other field staff offshore, with Survey Operations Coordinator and Data management chief on project basis.. Operate competently all relevant survey equipment.. Responsible for the maintenance; repair and operational status of all survey equipment mobilized on board the survey vessel.. Fault finding, repair and maintenance of electronic, computer and electromechanical equipment. Ensure that all equipment failures are documented and reported to Base Engineer.. Ensure that all equipment transfers are recorded and reported to Office.. Installation and interfacing of equipment and data communications networks on board ships.. Operating surface and underwater positioning systems/ Operating geophysical survey systems.. Development of existing survey systems to fulfill specific project requirements.. Ensure reporting is of the highest standards
