Role responsibility centres on following up new business opportunities, setting up new procedures, supervising one of warehouse operations teams and customs activities• Liaise with Freight Forwarding team and issue clearance instructions for imports• Prepare and submit data required for supplementary declarations (SDW & SDI) to Bureau service provider in a timely manner in line with expectation required by HMRC• Include final supplementary declarations (FSD) each month to tight deadline• Provide details of goods removed from customs warehouse to clients within time frames specified• Maintain audit trail, ensuring accurate records are kept for all entries and removals from the customs warehouse, including evidence for any exports and destroyed products• Monitor duty & VAT amounts suspended to ensure they are not exceeded• Responsible for overseeing the day to day customs activities• Administrated the compliance procedures to hold AEO-F status, CFSP and Customs Warehouse authorisations• Support business development and other corporate projects to set up new business accounts and implement procedures• Undertake specific projects, cross-functional support or other duties as required to drive and enhance the business in all areas• Accurately management of business KPIs and daily updates• Working in close liaison with clients to achieve requirements in a timely manner• Responsible for coordinating customs processes and procedures to ensure compliance• Tendering and negotiating with hauliers in order to obtain the best possible rates for transport• Allocating tasks, managing individual performance, training, coaching and supporting team members• Completion of daily inventory reconciliation
