Work on the FP7 funded "TEMI" project involving 13 partners from 11 countries aimed at training teachers with innovative inquiry-based teaching methods. Responsibilities in the project include:• Organization of professional development workshops (~120 teachers).• Remote organization of a training symposium at Queen Mary, University of London, involving 20 representatives from the project partner-institutions. This included organizing the pedagogic programme, workshops, scientific demonstrations, and social events.• Regular communication with partners to monitor training progress in 9 countries.• On-going accountability to the project management and a yearly report to the EU.• Organization of bi-monthly video conferences for project partners.• Communication and publicity of the project including appearances in national and international academic conferences and an invited talk in a TEDx event.• Research and evaluation accompanying the teacher training in Israel.• Hosting of international partners to evaluate the project.

Lecturer of the "thinking and creating learning" course, a core undergraduate foundations course in learning theories (~100 students per semester)• Course planning and administration.• Setting up a learning management system (Moodle).• Supervision of a teaching assistant.

Research in the Systems Learning & Development Lab as part of the ISF (Israel Science Foundation) funded "Listening to Complexity" project. The project's aim was to provide blind students with equal access to the chemistry classroom by means of sonified computer models. Responsibilities included:• Management and coordination of data collection.• Collaboration with a programmer in creating data mining software.• Data analysis.• Dissemination in international academic conferences.• Reporting progress to the University and to the ISF.• Assisting in the teaching of a graduate course.

Supervision of the "Science Communication in the Israeli Media" project, a project aimed at producing a report on the science coverage in the Israeli-Hebrew media. Over 20 newspapers, radio and television sources were surveyed daily over a period of six month resulting in 1000 items which were analysed. Responsibilities included:• Setting up the data collection system.• Managing the data collection team consisting of a master's student and an information specialist.• Organising a data analysis strategy and supervising the master's student in the data analysis.

A fellowship programme designed to help prominent early career researchers deepen their knowledge of the field of education and crystallize their professional identities.

Management of the Israeli branch of the S-TEAM (Science-Teacher Education Advanced Methods) project, an FP7 funded project consisting of 25 participating institutions from 15 countries. The project aimed at improving inquiry-based science teaching by training teachers across the Europe. Responsibilities included:• Management of the Technion group's budget (€89,000).• Administration of the project vis-à-vis the European commission, the project's senior management, the Technion's Research & Development Foundation (Liason's office), Human Resources office and the Department of Education in Science and Technology.• Representing the Technion group in international meetings and conferences.• Organisation of an international workshop with leading stakeholders from the ministry of education, deans, international researchers and leading teachers.• Collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) leading to a series of workshops for school children in Norway and several publications.• Developing and enacting workshops for teachers (~150 participants).• Presentation of the project in national teachers' conferences (reaching ~500 teachers), invited talks (in the UK, Norway and Israel) and several peer reviewed international research conferences.• Publication of the work done on the project in peer reviewed journals and professional teacher journals.
