Ran Xiang Email and Phone Number
I have experience teaching Chinese and English to students ranging from kindergarten to college level in rural, suburban, and urban districts, often employing an integrated approach and utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each and every student. I also invest appreciable time, well beyond the classroom, to advance my continuous improvement as a teacher, offer individual assistance to students and volunteer my time to help students feel an accepted part of a safe and engaging community.Teaching Chinese and English has become my passion, as it expands my understanding of diversity and multiculturalism. As a teacher, I want to help my students explore these two distinctive languages and cultures to expand their view of the world. Through a student-centered, task-oriented, practice-intensified and teacher-organized approach, I would have the opportunity to sharpen student cognitive competence through an active analysis of language structure and cultural phenomena. Besides, I'm good at bringing in external funding and resources, such as Confucius Classroom Funding and BOCES Funding. I'm passionate initiating International cooperations via double degree programs to attract more international students to my school. My network in textbook companies and the East Asia Study department in American colleges will help my school district have various academic privileges.
