I work with the Sikh Human Rights Group in documenting the achievement of sustainable development goals by Sikhs worldwide. I also engage in diplomacy and community organizing, including as a representative at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals summit.I am an avid reader who has worked in research. I have assisted a PhD candidate in the completion of their thesis, detailing the wellbeing of Latin American peasants within neoliberalism. I have also conducted field research and contributed case studies to a province-funded project, which explored socio-economic exclusion and innovation among diasporic businesses and nonprofits in the Toronto area.I am experienced in community and political organizing. Among many involvements, I have spent years as a canvasser and community organizer for the provincial and federal NDP. I was an elected student trustee at the Peel District School Board. I have also worked to engage youth through hip hop expression, including with a youth group that I founded. My work has helped me to engage with policy in many contexts, including development policy, regional planning, and diversity, equity and inclusion projects.I attended York University on the prestigious TD Scholarship for Community Leadership. At York, I graduated summa cum laude with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies and Political Science.
