- I worked on the machines that grind the facets on razor blades that are to be used in production of Schick cartridges. - I specifically focused on the quality of the products as well as following strict specifications for the edge of each blade manufactured. - Use of Go/No-Go gauges to determine flatness of blades to prevent bowing. - Welded strips of blades to switch between reels of steel. - Maintenance of grind line machines to keep blades within the allowed tolerances. - Safety meetings and walk-throughs to ensure OSHA regulations are met, maintained, and the safety of my coworker's was maintained. - I was a first responder with advanced first responder training including CPR, defibrillator training, oxygen tank operator, and basic to serious laceration and other injuries. - Kaizen meetings to discuss continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor in our processes, to both improve efficiency as well as safety.
