As a co-CS lead for Palouse Robosub, I work in developing and maintaining code used on Cobalt, an autonomous submarine. This has introduced me to Linux operating systems, Git, training through machine learning algorithms, Arduino, and a multitude of concepts relevant to my coursework in computer science. Cobalt features propulsion systems, depth sensors, a marker dropper, and cameras with object detection currently. I am working with an amazing team and we expect to have many features added that will allow Cobalt to operate autonomously.

Contributed as a member of a team developing an in-house embedded OS. As part of this team, I primarily conducted systems programming in C++. Accomplishments include: • Developed CLI menu for OS to improve debugging capabilities & introduced read over UART• Developed an interface to allow users to clear pending interrupts on embedded in-house OS• Utilized Docker containers to develop a Canadian cross-compiler to replicate ARM GNU toolchain for bare-metal targets so that the team could make specific data objects thread safe
