I'm from Clarksdale, Mississippi, and received a BA in print journalism with emphasis in both magazine and public relations from the Meek School of Journalism and New Media, with a minor in Southern studies. Before becoming executive editor of HottyToddy.com, I was social media manager and a staff writer for HottyToddy.com. I'm also a freelancer for Coopwood Communications, which consists of Delta Magazine, The Delta Business Journal and The Bolivar Bullet. I was a copy editor for The Daily Mississippian and also for Meek Magazine during my college tenure. During my time as an undergrad, I won a Certificate of Merit from the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM) for my hypothetical 2015 PR campaign, “Read to Succeed.” I worked as a waitress at Oby's from 2010 to 2015. From 2009 to 2010, I worked at Haley Insurance Agency as a secretary. From 2007 to 2009, I worked at Bear's Deli, and in the summer of 2007, I was a camp counselor at Brookhill Ranch in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
