Sr. Geologist
CurrentTwenty-one years performing environmental and geologic studies that include project management and environmental risk analysis. Supervised and provided technical assistance for hydrology investigations for Combined Operating License applications, both within the United States and internationally. Extensive experience in performing and managing subsurface drilling, environmental sampling, and risk assessment throughout the United States in a wide range of geologic conditions, including basin fill deposits, hard rock (sandstone, shale, limestone), karst, and saturated soils. Acted as the subject matter expert for nuclear plant license renewal applications and several nuclear power plant decommissioning projects including remediation and contaminated soil removal, tritium testing, and monitoring prior to removal of subsurface structures. Selected as the project manager for an offshore drilling program to assess geologic conditions for safety-related cooling water pipelines. He has experience in nuclear power plant siting studies both within the United States and internationally, including analysis of complex site selection criteria and development of siting strategy recommendations for timing of future site selection activities.
