My primary duties were to use Sales History, Demand Planning and/or Forecasting tools to determine appropriate stock levels for 400+ stores. I also used merchandise analysis and strategies to control the timing of inventory flow for our United States, Canada and United Kingdom stores. I was able to utilize and manipulate large amounts of data to successful managed over $30 million in Seasonal Revenue. I also developed and partnered with other departments/individuals to developed and maintained new tools used in Planning and Forecasting of merchandise. I was directly responsible for planning, developing and implementing payroll plans for 9 Sacramento, Central Valley and Reno Regional stores. With collaboration from the Regional VP and a strong partnership with each of the individual store manager, I was responsible for generating and delivering over $351,000 of combined budgeted payroll. Through the use of analysis of store’s sales, strategies, and forecasting, these budgets were meant to maximize store coverage and minimize payroll costs. I was also the “captain” of determining the correlation between staffing levels and customer complaints.I would flex payroll plans, based on analytical analysis, to reflect any changes in sales trends. Based on these evaluations I was able to identify a need to focus on hiring more full time associates as opposed to part time associates, in certain areas. This discovery resulted in a decrease of both associate turnover as well as customer negative complaints. ACCOMPLISHMENTS* Increased sales in assigned stores on average by 8.6%, by developing and implementing more concise payroll budgets.* Winner of “Staffing Manager of the Year” for two consecutive years for best overall use of payroll dollars and forecasting sales. * Winner of “Best New Idea” award for development of “full time vs part time” associate ratio concept.
