About Randall Griffith, Lcsw, Ccm, Cht

I have 43 years of experience in clinical social work, social work supervision, behavioral health case management, and behavioral health therapy with a wide range of clientele. In the past 3 years, I have refocused my learning and have become certified in hypnotherapy. I now have 2 national certifications: through the National Guild of Hypnotists (www.ngh.net), the largest and oldest professional hypnosis organization in the world; and through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (http://www.hypnosisalliance.com/iact/). I have had more than 500 hours of hypnosis training so far. I also received certified training in EMDR. I use these skills to offer pro bono work for NPOs who are working with trauma survivors, specifically refugees. I offer pro bono work for others who agree to share my information with NPOs and others. I have specialized certifications in trauma recovery hypnotherapy, trauma resolution hypnotherapy and pre/post surgery hypnosis.I have worked at the first managed care program for mental health in this area, the first case management program in Louisiana, the first psychiatric-based HMO in Louisiana, and was the first behavioral health case manager hired by the largest health insurance company in Louisiana. In every position I have worked, I have attempted to bring in family interaction as part of a treatment plan. In the past five years I have expanded my practice to include strategic case management (case management from a family perspective) with specific emphasis on those who are suffering from multiple medical problems, incorporating Motivational Interviewing skills into strategic thinking. I was trained in strategic and family therapy by the two best therapy supervisors in the world: Jay Haley and Cloe Madanes. I use their lessons every day. Specialties: Behavioral Health Case Management; trauma-informed hypnotherapy. I should clarify: I keep my case management work and hypnotherapy work 100% separate. I never have and never will use hypnotherapy while working as a case manager.
