As the principal and owner of Silver Tree Design, I have been delivering custom designs to major corporations for over 17 years. I was Senior Designer at Hewlett-Packard Television for 11 years and Art Director for 3 years where my staff and I designed opening sequences for broadcast television and video tape, designed speaker support graphics, custom logos, and acted as graphic operator for broadcasts using a variety of character generators and still stores. In 1999 I left HP and started Silver Tree Design. I have supported my clients and projects with a wide variety of design disciplines. I specialize in on-air or live event work, speaker support graphics, interactive media, creative logo designs, and brochures.

Art Director/Supervisor :Art direction of all aspects of Broadcast and Video graphic design and production (from high level view to hands-on fine detail). Facilitated brainstorming sessions with clients, producers and directors. Worked closely with outside agencies, directors and producers to develop coordinated packages (print materials, CD cover designs, presentation graphics, open sequences and animations). Administered schedule of broadcasts and videos for the graphics team and distributed projects to the appropriate artists or designers (including freelance artists and on-air operators for broadcasts).Held regular meetings with graphics team to prioritize projects. (Occasionally setting up guest speaker seminars with expertise in related subjects) Became the initial point of contact of all clients and new business. Maintained billing and tracking of projects for the graphics team. Designed more effective processes for billing and tracking projects being worked on by the graphics team. Developed training needs assessments and training schedules for artists and designers on staff. Pursued upgrades of graphics software and PC systems and researched and purchased new software and hardware in accordance with the needs of our clients. Maintained library of design resources (Communication Arts Magazine, Computer Graphics World, Adobe Magazine, Interactivity Magazine, PC Week, etc.) Co-chaired a coordinated effort to define the processes and portfolio of services of the graphics team. Art Direction, coordination of larger and more complex projects. Trained two new graphic artists in on-air operation of still store and character generation and in graphic design for broadcast and video.HPTV-Worked on Quantel PaintBox (a computer graphics system used for designing graphics for Broadcast & video), designed print material for newsletters and other pre-press, designed presentation graphics for broadcast and video, designed sets for broadcasts.
