I am a social studies teacher and director of debate with over 20 years of classroom experience. Since 2001, I have been coaching all formats within speech & debate with particular expertise in Lincoln-Douglas, Policy, Public Forum, and World Schools debating formats. From the K-12 space to the university levels, I enjoy building communities of support for innovative debating experiences that go beyond the national circuit tournament grind. Whether it's Spanish-language debating options or environmental policy debates in non-traditional spaces, I believe debate is the most powerful tool to empower student voice, increase community discourse, and inspire social change.
