  • Between The Covers
    Book Club Lead & Organizer
Between The Covers May 2023 - Present
    Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
I currently run three successful book clubs.➟ The Walden Tween Book Club is for children within the Walden community aged 10-13 years old. In our club we have 12 kids, 7 of which are avid readers and are constantly asking me for book recommendations as they are reading 1-2 books a week. In our club we have read books like Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein to The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall. I am currently helping other parents in other communities start up tween book clubs and making book recommendations.➟ The first adult book club I started, Between the Covers - The OG Book Girlies, has been a massive success for over a year now with 15 members in total. Once a month we meet to discuss the book we just read and select the new one. The club has become a lifeline for a lot of these women who look forward to their guaranteed once a month outing with no husbands and no kids. This club has selected genres that are fantasy, romantasy, thriller and general fiction. Some of the books we've read have been: A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J. Maas, Ghost by Kat Blackhorne, Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, Neon Gods by Katee Roberts and House of Beating Wings by Olivia Wildenstein.➟ The second adult book club I started, Between the Covers - The Walden Chapter, is brand new, with our first meeting in August 2024. Book genres for this club will be open to all, however I suspect will be mostly fantasy, romantasy, thriller, general fiction, mystery and possibly some autobiographies. What a recommendation for a future book for any of these clubs? Send me a message and I'll review the book!
