As the company converts from Oracle E-Business Suite (ERB) 11i to r12 as well as database versions 10g to 11g, we are developing PDI ETL transformations and jobs from Oracle 11i procedures and functions to make daily ETL processing cleaner and easy to follow. Utilizing Oracles database development tool, SQL Developer, to read packages, procedures, functions, views and tables so we can map code and tables used to create the Pentaho jobs and transformations to replace them. Involves mapping tables and fields from ERB 11i to r12 using both SQL Developer and the online Oracle eTRM to lookup the database schemas. Using Pentaho PDI Enterprise Edition 4.2.1 and Spoon for new ETL development. Current system reading encrypted files from several vendors in various formats (.xls, .csv, .txt) on Linux SFTP server, decrypting and then processing files through Oracle. Reverse processing for outgoing files to vendors. New PDI solution reading files from SFTP server, decrypting through PGP, ETL processing and load to new Oracle database for ERB use. Filezilla used to read and transfer files. Project documentation done in JIRA.
