Developing and managing ETL processes for Rural/Metro Emergency Services utilizing SAP Business Objects Data Services Designer to track and report on Accounting, Finances and Human Resources. Typically pulling data from AS/400 or SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 and transforming that data for WEBI/Crystal reports use or csv/excel files for ftp or uploads into systems such as Ariba, GP, Advance Claim, Billing, Payroll, etc..Working with Business Objects Data Services and Microsoft SSIS and IBM IIB and eOne SmartConnect for ETL/Mapping processing. Administrator for BO ETL Tools and backend server management as well as the IBM integration toolset. Creating and maintaining nightly job processing pulling data for reporting purposes. Handling daily data issues across several corporate systems as well as process enhancements and process improvement to procedures already in place. Other tools used WinSCP for ftp, SSMS for database administration as well as table manipulation and verification. Use of Excel for input data as well as data verification. Working with Bank of America on a project to convert data from an existing DB2 database structure to a new more robust DB2 database. Currently performing data analysis using SQL on Teradata SQL Assistant (for DB2 queries) plus SAS EG and DB2 scripts ran in UNIX to dig into current tables and map to appropriate tables in the new structure. This is all put together in log files for jobs ran in UNIX and spreadsheets to present for possible issues and defects. Also worked on another project creating new views/tables for group needing centralized resource for data utilizing SAS, running jobs through EG. Converting Oracle 11i packages into PDI ETL solutions. As the company converts from Oracle E-Business Suite (ERB) 11i to r12 as well as database versions 10g to 11g, we are developing PDI ETL transformations and jobs from Oracle 11i procedures and functions to make daily ETL processing cleaner and easy to follow. Utilizing Oracles database development tool, SQL Developer, to read packages, procedures, functions, views and tables so we can map code and tables used to create the Pentaho jobs and transformations to replace them. Involves mapping tables and fields from ERB 11i to r12 using both SQL Developer and the online Oracle eTRM to lookup the database schemas. Using Pentaho PDI Enterprise Edition 4.2.1 and Spoon for new ETL development. Current system reading encrypted files from several vendors in various formats (.xls, .csv, .txt) on Linux SFTP server, decrypting and then processing files through Oracle. Reverse processing for outgoing files to vendors. New PDI solution reading files from SFTP server, decrypting through PGP, ETL processing and load to new Oracle database for ERB use. Filezilla used to read and transfer files. Project documentation done in JIRA.
