I am an early career social scientist with a passion for data collection and analysis, survey design, and research methodology. While completing my PhD at the University of Texas at Austin, I have developed substantive expertise in the areas of health equity and health disparities, stress, and family formation and dynamics, while cultivating quantitative methodological expertise to supplement my prior experience in qualitative research. My doctoral work has been complemented by multiple appointments as a data and evaluation consultant to Austin-area community organizations. In addition, I have earned prestigious grant and fellowship support for my research as a graduate student, including a National Research Service Award (NRSA) predoctoral fellowship in population studies through the University of Texas Population Research Center and a Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant from the American Sociological Association.
