Credit Risk Management TeamReconciliation project where Market/Credit Risk systems of Bank of America and Merrill Lynch need to be reconciled. Currently, there is a semi-automated and excel-based reconciliation process for cash and derivative products that reconciles market values in USD at book, trade and position level between source systems (Trade Processing, AURORA, RAM, KTEK/LNET) and finance sub-ledger systems (FINMAN, BUCS and other excel based data files). BUCS has a trading side (TS) and legal book (LB) side. The current reconciliation shows large variances in the market values and considers any difference less than $1,000 USD as “within tolerance” and leaves the rest of them as “unexplained”. It also identifies few breaks due to adjustments related to cash, equity, dividends, reserves, funding etc.The objective of this project is to do a trade/position level automated reconciliation and to ensure that the relevant set of trades/positions, notionals, counterparties and marks are being sent to the credit risk system in order to assign risk to the correct counterparties. Automated reconciliations are developed on a web-based platform.

Global Cash Management TeamAs a Business Analyst/Project Manager, my role involved incorporating the then-current manual US Cash Management systems/processes into the automated Global Cash Management system TLM (Transaction Lifecycle Mgt.). TLM application is web-based. The goal of the project was to give the business an idea of the expected cash balances, which then allows the bank to be funded efficiently.

OPICS Team• Provided analytical support including the following functions: analyzed business requirements, designed, maintained, end-user support and enhanced CS’s existing OPICS application encompassing the Fixed Income, Repo, Foreign Exchange, Deposit and Loans and Money Market product lines using the following programming languages: Visual Basic, Oracle and SQL.• Produced Ad-hoc Reports and Downstream System Feeds as required by end user specifications.• Created Straight Through Processing Feed of Fixed Income, Repo, MM and Deposit Loans and Equity Option products into the OPICS application using the following software: Oracle, SQL Server, Java and FOBOCA Queue Mgt. This significantly reduced manual processing by the end users and also increased system security.• OPICS Go-Live Date stayed on schedule for September 2002; however it was launched without an archiving process, which resulted in slow system response time and extended hours of Batch Processing. I designed and tested an archive process, which was successfully implemented in January 2005.• Created Business Requirements (BRD) and Functional Specifications (FSD) for new and extended product features and functions used byMexico FC Controllers, PC Controllers and varying operations worldwide.• Upgraded OPICS system from Oracle 9i to Oracle Framework for over 60 users worldwide.
