I'm Randi Wang, a researcher specializing in integration and interoperability challenges in systems engineering, with a strong emphasis on the geometric and topological foundations that underpin model-based engineering.My current projects encompass:(1) Design of a sensor capable of detecting a vehicle’s velocity of 1mm/s without external reference.(2) Developing automated workflows for high-performance gearbox design.(3) Exploring the frontier of antenna designs using shape and topology optimizations.(4) Realizing CAD/CAE designs for system-level designs (in Simulink, Modelica, bond graphs, etc.)In my past roles, I've made substantial contributions to various projects involving auto CAD defeaturing, model-order reduction of CAE models, and machine learning. These efforts have resulted in the creation of code, intellectual property, and noteworthy publications across both commercial and non-commercial domains.I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I introduced a comprehensive framework for analyzing the consistency between 1D lumped-parameter systems and 3D CAD/CAE models. This framework is tool-agnostic, accommodating various modeling languages, numerical methods, and a wide range of physical applications.I'm passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and open to opportunities for collaboration.
