As a public school teacher for 29 years in grade K-3 I utilized my skills to teach children from all backgrounds and ethnic diversity. I have both a BCLAD in Spanish and a CLAD credential, qualifying me to teach in both bilingual and multilingual students. I earned my Masters Degree in Counseling to help me understand the many issues students and parents face while learning in the schools. Emotional and social intelligence are huge factors in a student's success and these are often not addressed in the classroom. In pursuing my counseling degree I became very interested in the power of the Expressive Arts. Since leaving the public schools I now teach Expressive Art workshops for a non profit called Art & Creativity for Healing. I am also an online coach for the Art for Healing International Certification program to train students all over the world.
