About Randi Kern

My career began in the temporary staffing field where I experienced people in some of the toughest moments in their lives, and knew, almost immediately, that I wanted the opportunity to do more than just place people in quick/easy fixes. After a few years, I started my own specialized executive-level recruiting practice where I was able put together an impressive talent pool that grew to number in the thousands over the years. The ability to match executive-level talent to appropriate companies to see them both achieve their goals was a constant source of pride. I continued in the executive recruitment field with Seeds Consulting joining Bank of the West as Vice President Talent Acquisition. It was my first opportunity to build internal teams and utilize my expertise and skills to effectively train company recruiters, hiring managers, and the HR team utilizing Taleo software. In addition to standard recruiting practices, I created a successful college recruiting program that produced 3 top notch new hires in the first year. My work at Visa was where I became passionate about internal mobility. I turned the company vision inward to create an internal talent pipeline that encourages a succession plan for promoting company talent. Some of my proudest work was as a key player for the Visa Women's Network where I promoted more events that have increased network engagement by over 100%. After 2 decades connecting people to create opportunities, I found myself working at LinkedIn, a company that shares the mission of my life. LinkedIn was an amazing experience where I made multiple hires at the Executive level for the Engineering organization, co-led the North America Women@ LinkedIn employee resource group, and created a successful development program for VP level executives.After exiting LinkedIn in early 2023 I took a sabbatical and then received my Executive Coaching certification from the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute. Potentiality is my coaching company where I am continuing to help people excel at various transition points in their careers.
