CurrentOverseeing the administrative and operational affairs in the office of the Founding Director of the Gladstone Institute of Neurological DiseaseFormatting and editing grants, manuscripts, scientific figures, donor collateral and other complex documents. Mentoring, recruiting and training research administration staff. Developing and implementing new initiatives, organizing symposia, events, fundraising and recruitments for the institute. ◊ Initiated and organized an “Ask the Researchers” tent at the 2019 SF Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is now a mainstay and implemented at 600 walks across the country◊ Builds and maintains relationships with high priority partners and leverages collaboration opportunities◊ Formulates strategies and designs organizational processes to improve work efficiency across various departments◊ Manages institute-wide special projects to ensure complex, multi-stakeholder efforts are resourced appropriately◊ Developed a restructuring plan to address retaining, empowering and upscaling the research administration team that was implemented organization-wide ◊ Drives implementation of many projects simultaneously to achieve determined outcomes◊ Thought partner to faculty members, director and other executives across Gladstone◊ Designs organization and structure for cross-functional team efforts to facilitate effective and lasting results
