Teach media production courses to undergraduate college students through discovery learning and equip our students to use what they learn to live out Bethel's core values now and in the future.Broadcast Production:Lead students in exploring and achieving an advanced understanding of live studio and remote broadcast television production and all its various roles and elements: Producing (show design - writing scripts, creating rundowns), Directing, Technical Directing, Engineering, Replay Operation, Floor Directing, Audio Mixing, Graphics (creation & operation), Video (record & playback), Camera Operation, Teleprompter Operation, On-Camera Talent, and studio lighting techniques. Guide students as they team up to produce and crew multiple shows in a variety of formats (Talk, News, Sports, Variety, & Student's Choice) on a regular basis, giving them a wide range of experiences while creating a wealth of opportunity for mastering the equipment through hands-on learning. Sharpen their skills in producing quality edited video using professional equipment and techniques, by coaching them as they do so as a regular component of their studio and remote broadcast productions. Provide students with real-world remote production experiences and create opportunities for students to think critically about their work.Media Production I:Introduce students to producing quality edited video using professional equipment and techniques in shooting, editing, sound acquisition and lighting.
