The San Luis Obispo International Film Fest attracts filmmakers from all over the world to compete and connect with likeminded individuals. Besides judging and awarding Global entries, this event also pays tribute to a celebrity by awarding a 'King Vidor Achievement Award' which includes a tribute reel to be projected at the historic Fremont Theater. Tribute Reels are an approximate summary of a professional actor or director's film career to be projected to a packed house at the Fremont in SLO. I've been fortunate enough to be given the task of editing and projecting these tributes since 2006 when I was working with Oscar winning film editor Neil Travis (RIP). Tribute reels include: Norman Jewison, James Cromwell, Peter Fonda, Malcom McDowell, Alan Arkin, Greg Kinnear, John Hawkes, Jeff Bridges, and this year's recipient Peter Bogdanovich.

Responsibilities include: Creative meetings with client, scripting, shooting and editing a variety of broadcast spots for a huge variety of clients in both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.

Directed by Leonard Manzella, thirty teachers from the Central Coast participated in this role-playing exercise to learn empathy for their students. Pre & post interviews with participants showed a clear impact this exercise had on their teaching approach.

Experienced in AOG conditions troubleshooting and repairing grounding issues with aircraft loaded with passengers on flight line. Run & Taxi Trainer experience. Fleet included SAAB 340B, BAe Jetstream 3201, Fairchild Metro III, and Bombardier CRJ200.

Produced broadcast content for both radio & television for small ad agency and lease access TV studio. Built post-production studio which included broadcast calibrated audio/video monitors, green screen and 8‘x11’ sound isolation booth for voice-talent & musicians. Gained valuable knowledge of function and limitations of various types of cameras and audio gear. Shared TV space with Alpha Video Productions and gained experience producing ‘live to tape’ shows.
