Managed the design and permitting of civil site construction projects from concept plan and due diligence reports to plans preparation and permit application preparation and submittals to construction phase service including field observations and as-built certifications.

Extensive use of AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop in the preparation of site construction plans. Designed and analysed water distribution systems for potable water and fire protection systems; sewer collection, lift station and force main extension. Permitting with FDOT, FDEP, Water Management Districts and municipalities. Projects included Park 33 Apartments (Lakeland), Residence Inn by Marriott at Sea World.

Networking and marketing to developed clientel. Preparation of scope and fee proposals. Designed and prepared site construction plans and permit applications. Projects included Lake Alto Estates subdivision, Horizon Park commercial subdivision.

Prepared proposals in responce to RFP's from municipalities and state agencies. Designed and supervised the preparation of site construction plans including the use of Land Desktop for roadway horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, layout of water, sewer and storm pipes. Sample projects include the addition of handicap accessible boat ramps,

Designed, prepared construction plans and supervised AutoCAD Technicians. Assisted in the preparation of proposals and responses to RFP’s. Projects included: Building and pavement additions to FDOT Maintenance Yard, and associated permitting. Various projects for FL Department of Corrections including perimeter paving at Stark Correctional and new work camp in Lake City. Safety improvements to I-10 Jackson County, FL, Bridge approaches improvements Columbia Co., SW 24th St, Gainesville, FL.Prepared Contamination Assessment Reports (CAR’s) and Remedial Action Plans (RAP’s) including the design of vacuum extraction system to clean contaminated ground water.Structural investigation of roof truss systems, structural analysis and structural upgrades for AC unit upgrades for statewide fast food chain.

Civil Engineer I – Development Review. Assisted the Development Review Engineer in assuring site construction plans met the Land Development Code. Prepared and checked documents such as drainage and flood maps, aerial photos, zoning and soils maps to confirm assumptions made in engineering calculations. Input hydrologic data, retention pond size and outfall structure dimensions into stormwater modeling software. Assisted with special projects including special assessment district road paving and drainage improvement projects.Civil Engineer II – Design. Provided design of county infrastructure including double barrel concrete box culvert, which required the hydrologic analysis of approximately 400+/- acres. Hydraulic analysis and design was in general conformance to FDOT Drainage Design manual including culvert sizing and roadway overtopping. Provided the design of county roadways CR 1491 and CR 436. The CR 1491 design included the realignment of approximately 1.5 miles of graded roadway, design of horizontal and vertical curves, super-elevation, cross sections, an open drainage system of swales and a stormwater treatment / attenuation pond. The CR 436, or Micanopy Bi-pass included the design of approximately 1 mile of roadway, stormwater management system, connection to US Hwy 441, and special wildlife crossing culverts.
