I formed this proprietorship to build games and applications targeted for the Windows Phone mobile platform. I currently have two certified applications published to the Windows Phone Marketplace. One is a word game entitled, "Sidamo" and the other is a mobile photo editing and sharing application called, "Photo Toaster". Both apps are currently available internationally and download numbers are on a steady incline.

Client sought to execute on an internal innovation committee idea to create a mobile application that allows users to find and book conference rooms directly from their mobile devices. The effort encompassed integration points with Sharepoint and Exchange to merge conference room amenity data with free/busy data. Randolph was the primary .NET engineer on this project and wrote the back-end services that interacted with the various data sources as well as the designer and author of the “fuzzy” logic algorithms which ranks conference room results based on time, location, and amenity preferences.

Manager, Software Development
Achievements: Currently manage a team of software developers (including offshore resources) responsible for developing and maintaining custom software solutions for a distributed global blue chip enterprise. Responsible for performance evaluations, employee development, and other general managerial housekeeping tasks. Evaluate, execute, and implement new and emerging technologies and platforms from a variety of vendors and technology partners. In addition to managing direct reports, I also continued my duties as a developer on a daily basis. Some of my most notable achievements while serving in this role include: Architecture and design of ground up Silverlight LOB forecasting and budgeting application using MVVM pattern and home grown DI/IoC framework. I also built a data portal application in Silverlight that included an executive dashboard using DeepZoom and PivotViewer controls.
Senior Software Architect
Achievements: Built numerous .NET applications ranging from ASP.NET web applications, to Windows Forms/WPF/Silverlight, to middleware ETL services. Wrote the first major release of an internal forecasting and budgeting application called ‘FUEL’. This software was so well received that the IP was adopted by another company which is now its flagship product offering. Also continued to enhance and improve the internal class library which included a successful effort to create our own POCO ORM with a Fluent mapping API. Additionally, we built custom compression and serialization capabilities to support super lightweight client/server data transmission for use with Silverlight projects. The efforts paid off tremendously and we were able to transmit and receive massive sets of data while maintaining an extremely small payload footprint. Eventually released the library as an open source project and contributed to CodePlex with the intent of sharing the benefits of our work with the open source community.
Software Architect
Achievements: Wrote a number of web applications using legacy ASP/COM/DNA architecture and .NET. Wrote a lease tracking web application in legacy ASP/VBscript with a COM/DNA middle tier and a SQL Server data store which was used primarily as a data collection tool. Assisted in the adoption of the Microsoft.NET framework and C#. Built the first set of class libraries that abstracted data access and markup output. This effort became a standard internal assembly that was included in many of our .NET projects.
Consultant, Software Engineer
Achievements: Built an internal web application in legacy ASP with a SQL Server data store. The most notable bits of this project is that I discovered a clever way to update and validate HTML DOM objects from an invisible frame that loaded dynamically generated javascript files asynchronously. A sort of poor man’s AJAX before AJAX even existed.
Web Developer & Ui/Ux Designer
Achievements: I was responsible for creating a user interface and user experience design in HTML for a GIS search website. At the time, it was poised to be, essentially, what “Google Maps” is today. I wrote more XML, XSLT and JSP than I care to admit, but I learned a great deal about GIS data which was stored in an Oracle data store.
Application Developer
Achievements: From CGI PERL to VB and ASP, it was a part of the daily routine. A few notable projects include a text file GREP search in PERL hosted on Sambar web server. This site saw heavy traffic and assisted in tracking non-compliant systems during the Y2K effort. Also built a Knowledge Base application with an ASP/Oracle structure and hosted on a version of Sambar with ASP/VBScript support.
