As a key hire for technology leadership team, I built and led a team of highly skilled engineers and managers focusing on product delivery using continuous improvement and engineering best practices.• Delivered several innovative products/solutions for Spireon's new car business segment (Kahu)• Played a key role in several initiatives that were a part of Spireon’s transformation from legacy monolith application architecture to a highly scalable microservices oriented architecture• Completely turned around software engineering team’s testing practices from task-oriented manual testing to metrics based automated testing at all levels that enabled us to release our applications/services 95% faster (from 80 person-hours to less than 4 hours)• Led the implementation of several engineering excellence concepts including APM, CICD, Containerization, Performance Benchmarking and Blameless Post-Mortems• Coached and mentored engineers and grew several Level 1, 2 engineers into senior/principal engineers• Developed a culture of openness with improvements like blogging about key technological improvements and publishing our metrics and results in dashboards and wikis• Worked with HR to define interviewing practices and leveling guidelines, which helped us hire top of the line talent as well as grow existing talent

I came back to Tyco to manage a team of SETs and Build Engineers and deliver Tyco’s IoT platform. We successfully delivered the platform and integration of Tyco’s business units with the platform. My team was responsible for test, tools and infrastructure and build/release engineering.

My team implemented several best practices in software and release engineering including Continuous Integration/Delivery, automated ruby gem uploads, git hooks, deployment traceability, ChatOps etc. We enabled automated deployments throughout all software teams, which allowed us to scale from a few applications that were deployed manually to 100s of applications getting built/deployed automatically. I also mentored Program/Project Managers and Engineers and helped them in their professional growth.

I was part of the team that built Tyco’s first IoT platform. We built the platform and several pipelines using Apache Storm, Kafka and MQTT to ingest data from devices and persist them so it can be used for decisioning and analytics.

I started the performance engineering team for Amazon Appstore and the supporting services for Android Mobile and Amazon devices (Kindle tablets). We implemented a consistent and automated performance testing solution for Amazon Appstore across all marketplaces, which consisted of building an internal device lab, network simulators and other tools.

I was part of Experian's core IT team and delivered development, testing, performance benchmarking and DevOps solutions to Experian's development teams (Single Sign-on, Identity Management, Multi-factor Authentication, Secure File Transfer)
