Production Department On-CallThis position involves the operation of cameras, running of the teleprompter and use of a computer, which plays all graphics for the KCTV 5 news operation. The cameras are HD Green Valley with automatic shot settings. The teleprompter allows anchors to maintain their place in the script, and the use of Viz for the airing of short graphics used to either announce or play between stories. Diversified my experience by beginning training on the Avid editing system for the production of promos. This position ended with the implementation of the "Ignite" television automation system.

Director of Affiliate Relations/Operations for the Kansas City Royals Radio Network, a 77 station network. Handled all contractual issues with on-air staff, Manager of the Royals, and network affiliates. Responsible for putting together and distributing a budget of $3.6 million dollars. Created, wrote and produced all audio elements for the broadcast, developed a new traffic system for spot reconciliation, and created an accelerated per diem program for announcer/engineer usage. Became Producer for 710 KCMO “The Mike Murphy Show”. Substitute guest host for Mr. Murphy. I was responsible for overall show performance. Ratings during my first period as producer were up 8%. Produced and wrote all audio promos for the show. Produced special musical material and content appropriate audio on a digital audio workstation when needed. Executive Producer and co-host of The KCMO Morning Show. Arbitron ratings largest in men 25-54 in 10 years. Podcast blogging experience.

Appointed the first conductor of The First Family Orchestra in 2003. Increased the size of the orchestra from 4 volunteers to a high of 25. Wrote numerous musical arrangements for groups of all sizes. Maintained the orchestra library. Diversified my experience by handling many public speaking opportunities and being the interim choral director as needed. Musical Conductor and arranger of incidental music for The 2006 Living Christmas Tree.

Developed office procedures and maintained business documentation for a major four state production company. Responsible for accounts payable and receivable reconciliation, posting and collecting. Established a purchase order log for use on the computer network. Assisted the Sales Manager with ordering and selling of professional sound and lighting equipment.

Key responsibilities included - The scheduling of all special events on a Knox audio-visual routing system. System consisted of 24 televisions, 2 satellites, 6 VTR's, plus 16 channels of audio. Interviewed numerous times by newspapers, magazines, and television. I was then promoted to the position of Promotions Manager where I was responsible for the overseeing and actively engaging in all aspects of promotion for a 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant. Wrote news releases, edited video for television commercials, handled media relations, made follow-up calls and arranged media remote appearances.

Assisted band and orchestra directors to select music for their ensembles. Dealt on an individual basis with customers to help meet their needs. Ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction. Assisted the publications division to prepare and edit manuscripts for delivery to the engraver, also contributed my expertise preparing parts for publication. My orchestration of “Rondo for Trumpet” is currently in their rental library. Co-wrote and edited percussion parts for a previously unpublished John Philip Sousa march "Salute To Kansas". Responsible for ASCAP liscensing on all new publications. Produced, edited, organized and planned all choral and instrumental audio promotional tapes for wholesale dealer and worldwide distribution to the retail customer base.
