Engineering;Rand Willard is currently consulting for Aerocontrol, Inc. as an Electronic Engineer, embedded programmer, and an MSC++ programmer. In the past seven years Rand has been a principal engineer involved in Satellite Simulation Equipment design, Autopilot embedded programming & simulator design for T38 & WB57 jets, UAV Autopilot hardware & software development, and Ballistics Systems design & test. His responsibilities included some pcb design & layout, embedded programming, simulator system design, embedded sensor characterization and selection, system testing & debugging, and field testing. As with most small companies, Rand is also called upon to perform technician and assembly work.In the 1990's Rand helped design and wrote the firmware for an 80C51 based hand held water flow computer, AquaCalc, that is still used by the USGS, state, and local water agencies today. Rand came from the magnetic media industry where he was involved in the design of high speed tape transport systems, hard drives, and test equipment.Management;During his years in the diskette, tape, and disk drive industries, Rand has managed following departments; Product Engineering, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, and Warranty Repair.Sales;Rand was the North American Sales Rep for Kisters North America. Kisters offers a water mgt system named WISKI. His responsibilities included RFP generation, making prospect contacts, sales presentations, on-site demonstrations, and trade shows. He also assisted in the installations.Screenplay writing;Rand has a passion for writing feature length screenplays. He has written several scripts and in 2008 he sold a 2-year option for his crime drama, "By Their Rules."​ The option was not exercised. With his latest screenplay titled "Freaky Friday Night Lights", Rand has formed 8-Point Productions, LLC to produce it.
