Business area and Portfolio Management Responsible for leading the National Missions Capabilities (NMC) Operating Unit to meet performance and organizational effectiveness objectives. In addition, as the OU Director, I am responsible for the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices, in support of organizational financial and strategic goals. Strategic Business DevelopmentAs the Operating Unit Director, I am responsible for establishing and directing strategies for the long-term achievement of profitable/sustainable growth, expanding markets, building customer relationships and working across the broader Northrop Grumman Corporation to create collaborative offerings that drive market differentiation. Additionally, as the OU Director, I am also responsible for guiding our NMC business development team to create a robust and expansive pipeline of new business opportunities. Day to Day Portfolio ExecutionOU Director, responsibilities include the day-to-day effective operations of the operating unit’s various Program teams, in some instances, executing from multiple sites, creating and maintaining a cohesive team across the entire program execution team. To achieve this single cohesive team affect, as the Director, I’m responsible for ensuring effective communications across the operating unit, and establish and effectively convey the OU’s clearly-defined vision, goals and objectives to the execution teams across the OU portfolio. In addition, I am responsible for orchestrating and insuring that all the programs within the NMC portfolio are executing in an optimal state. Insuring adequate and properly skilled resources are in place and being utilized to optimize program productivity in order to achieve programmatic, as well as organizational, goals as defined by Operating Unit, Business Unit, and Divisional leadership.

Responsible for providing the people, processes and tools to meet the current and future needs of the programs and technologies within the NGMS portfolio. This role provides the technical and people leadership needed to establish and maintain a World class Western Engineering organization across multiple locations, divisions and programs. The role has overall responsibility for the development, design, implementation, application, training, and product support of state-of-the-art solutions in support of NGMS captures, programs and research and development. Responsibilities also include; managing budgets required to perform their statements of work; provide functional oversight across the Western region including bid and proposal inputs for future work, independent technical reviews of major programs and R&D projects as well as organizational budget management; establish and maintain the discipline specific processes and tools for NGMS programs; facilitate and promote Affordability, Knowledge Management, Engineering Utilization, and other process improvement initiatives including the implementation and monitoring of metrics covering engineering efficiency and quality, as well as sharing of lessons learned and best practices throughout the organization.

Responsible for the management and execution of multiple Mission Planning and Application Development contracts that make up the Mission Application Department portfolio with a combined value in excess of $75M. Department staff are dispersed across multiple locations across the United States.

Engineering Center Roles and Responsibilities:1. Responsible for the management of engineering resources required across all programs and Operating Unit initiatives (Capture, IRAD, Proposals, etc). These resources include Engineering Staff, Hardware Infrastructure, and Tools/Applications required for project execution.2. Responsible for resource and budget management as it relates to training, capital equipment procurement, and facility related functions for engineering staff across Operating Unit (600+ engineers).Engineering Center primary components:1. Tech Operations – Responsible for building and maintaining the software engineering environments (classified and unclassified) required for program and Operating Unit initiative execution. This includes server farms for Virtualization, data repositories, and application hosting, for over 600+ users.2. Technology Center – Pool of Engineering staff with critical fields of expertise that serve as a shared technical resource across the Operating Unit in support of multiple projects and/or initiatives. 3. JC2 Tool Shed – Library of standardized tools being hosted in the JC2 Developer Assist Environment that are available to all project execution throughout the Operating Unit. 4. Technical Innovations- Team of Subject Matter Experts that are tasked with developing and enhancing new technologies to the benefit of Operating Unit projects and initiatives.

1) Program Execution Oversight - Perform oversight of Mission Planning and Battle Management programs including developing department budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and goals. 2) Business Development - Develop/execute business development and IRAD plans for projected department portfolio growth.3) Technical Staff Management - Manage 200+ staff members, distributed across multiple sites nation wide; Executed Performance Evaluation and Review Processes as well as Compensation Planning for all levels of technical staff.
