I am a business executive, venture capitalist and lawyer who has spent over 20 years as a senior corporate development executive and general counsel to three public life sciences companies, a group of Chinese life science companies and a number of private US therapeutics, biologics and diagnostic companies . I have been a corporate development and legal consultant to a number of other life science companies in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device and wireless health fields . In addition, I have also been a General Partner of a life sciences venture fund as well as a Chief Operating Officer to a life sciences venture capital fund. Prior to that time, I was a corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions lawyer with large law firms in San Diego and New York City.I have served on the board of directors to a number of private life science companies and public life science companies. I also have a great deal of experience as a member of Audit, Compensation and Nominating/Corporate Governance Committees and am looking for an additional two board positions with public companies.I am also currently a Senior Advisor to Mesa Verde Ventures, a life sciences venture capital fund and am a former member of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels (BioMedTrak group) and the Life Science Angels out of Menlo Park.My specialties are corporate and securities law, private and public financings, angel and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, licensing and collaborations, commercial law and international transactions, life sciences law, trademarks and other intellectual property and intellectual property litigation.
