Profile bio

About Randy Blanton

My passion for sport goes back as far as my childhood. I started my career in retail at the age of 17 and quickly identified the relationship between retail and sport, “Team”. I recently spent 13 years with Target Corporation under the Assets Protection branch which taught me the value of “team". No one can control shrink alone for it truly takes a village. It takes partners, it takes commitment, it takes vision. Winning as a team drove me then and still drives me today. Coming off my 5 years spent with Nike, I stretched my skill set in unimaginable ways and became a stronger manager with putting people first. A crucial skill of management, especially in the retail sector, is the ability to motivate others. I'm excited to take all that I have learned and apply that knowledge as I continue my journey with Hibbett.Outside of the office, I spend my time trying to make my wife and two daughters laugh. I have an unusual ability to identify random movie quotes and can anchor any music trivia team! You can catch me every now and then on a drum kit at a local pub. Connect with me on LinkedIn for networking, anything sports, and more.

Listed skills include Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, Inventory Management, Store Management, and 32 others.
