I currently am responsible for Northern BC. I cover from the Ab border to as far as Prince George-Fort Nelson. I have an extensive list of clients from mines to the oilfield directly. I started on the parts counter from my previous experience in parts. I have always had a desire to do sales as I know that's my natural fitting. A position in sales became available and I was promoted.I worked with a large territory of 100 customers of all sizes and diversities.This involved alot of self time management, consistency and always being accountable by being face to face with customers.The territory started originally as 55 and as time went on, so did my experience and so it… Show more I started on the parts counter from my previous experience in parts. A position in sales became available and I was promoted.I worked with a large territory of 100 customers of all sizes and diversities.This involved alot of self time management, consistency and always being accountable by being face to face with customers.The territory started originally as 55 and as time went on, so did my experience and so it ballooned to 110. I was able to basically memorize every section of the Gregg's catalogue regardless of year. This obviously allows for sales to be seamless as opportunities are endless in the oil and energy sector. Through alot of self dedication and commitment, I was able to learn from not only Gregg's but the actual customers who use the products.I have of course used my past experiences in work to build a solid foundation. I started in the Wire Rope/Rigging side from my previous experience at Diversified Chain and Rigging out of Brooks Ab.I was soon put into shipping and eventually moved into picking. This was a very fast paced position with little to no room for error as you are expected to gather a customers order flawlessly and fast. I was eventually promoted to the parts counter and given a store key for after hours service as well. I started by learning the trade from the ground up. I soon was promoted to Shop foreman as we consistently braided wire rope slings. This was the bread and butter and a constant nonstop process. I learned how to spool Sandline on to the spools on swabbing/drilling rigs by hand. This requires alot of attention to detail and patience as you can only be out 1/8" when wrapping it tightly on a spool. Otherwise, the memory of the wore rope will be off causing many problems. I moved for my position many times and enjoyed the job immensely. It involves taking fetal blood from calves at processing plants. The blood was used in remarkable ways such as stem cell research, cancer research and skin grafting. We would be required to skin the calves for their hide from a certain weight and than use that for either resale or skin grafting. This is not a job for the weak or weak stomached. It requires lifting dead weight as little as 3 lbs and up to 200 pounds overhead… Show more I moved for my position many times and enjoyed the job immensely. It involved manual pumping of the legs, arteries and chest to get make sure all is collected. I learned from the bottom and worked my way up to the top position of Team Lead as well as driver. I would transport the blood after shift back to the lab in Calgary to be spun and processed. I learned how to make the collection bottles as well as was given a company key and fuel card. Show less

I started learning to work and become independent at the age of 5. At even that age - I was able to run a closed cab swather on my own.Overtime I developed more skills like how to operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, half ton trucks, grain trucks and combines. How to repair fences, various equipment and maintain the yard by mowing grass or picking garbage. I also helped raise and manage the cattle even from a early age. I was apart of 4-H , Hockey, Football and Curling too. I… Show more I started learning to work and become independent at the age of 5.
