Directly led all departments including human resources, customer service, sales, marketing, finance, business development and facilities management. Supervised 18 employees and developed team leadership. Agency generated $15 million dollars in premiums annually with an operating budget of $1.7 million annually

Employed as a private business consultant to Founders Corporation during the organizational stages of a start-up community bank project (Founders Bank) in Leesburg, Virginia. Worked closely with bank CEO, CFO, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Lending Officer and bank board members in the varied stages of establishing a new community bank in Leesburg/Loudoun County Virginia. Utilized my business, government, community and media contacts to introduce the project to decision makers & investors. Recruited prospective investors in the project and participated in multiple investor presentations. The downturn in the economy in late 2007 forced the investors to sell the project/assets to SonaBank of Charlottesville, Virginia.

Managed a 900 member Chamber of Commerce in the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, with a 25 member board and 7 paid staff. Duties included management of volunteers and staff in the areas of membership sales, membership retention, marketing, communications, finance, events and sponsor sales. Service area population = 120,000.

Managed a 550-member Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center, with 4 staff. Directed all programs including tourism promotion, membership sales, volunteer management, publication design, fund raising, Annual Spring Festival and Amateur Cycling Race. Annual operating budget of $170,000. Service area population = 27,000.

Administered the membership development and retention department of a 1,000-member Chamber of Commerce. Duties included direct sales, volunteer recruitment, committee management, annual membership campaigns, collection of accounts, advertising sales and special events. Service area population = 240,000.
