Lead Quotation Engineer for the Burlington Switchgear Operations. Provide leadership in regard totechnical and commercial questions and issues for the Burlington team and field sales. Responsibilities include: daily scheduling of quotation requests, managing work priorities for the team, interfacing with Field Sales and Package quotation team contacts, drive team behavior to meet customer and business needs. Work with quotation team on process improvements, and quotation quality. Analyze order and quotation pricing data to develop price index values for LV switchgear with Senior Product Manager.

Managed the AKD-8 switchgear engineering group for the Burlington switchgear operations. I gained supervisory experience as Product Leader for LV Switchgear Engineering, were I had over twenty Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical designers, and clerical staff under my supervision. Managed production schedules, and training needs for any new engineering hires.

Managed change orders, scheduling, and customer inspections for LV, MV, and Distribution Breaker orders. Provided interface between Requistion Engineering, Sales, and Customers. Hosted customer for factory tours, and traveled for onsite approval conferences.

Engineered Low Voltage switchgear. Conducted drawing approval conferences at our plant and at the customer site. Prepared BOMs, device layouts, and schematic drawings. Worked closely with Electrical and Mechanical designers to provide a quality product to meet the customer requirements in a timely fashion.

Provided PLC logic and electrical controls for automated processes. Provided manufacturing support for trouble shooting of PLC or process issues.

Provided connection diagrams for Switchboard panels for utility generation plant. This was a short term project while I was attending the University of Iowa for an Engineering Degree.

Supervised a transit crew that made sure that support columns were plumb, maintained schedule on concrete pad pours, and inventoried incoming steel material deliveries. The crew staged incoming steel on the site to keep in flow with the steel erectors. Project was a large Walmart distribution center. Work took place while I was off for the summer from pursuing my engineering degree.

Was a production utility operator in the metal fabrication department. Worked on shears, punch press, fluid bed, paint line, metal forming, and spot areas. Completed company blueprint reading course and work on a special relay repair project. Work schedule was second shift, as I was attending college during the daytime.
