In this position I will be working with the associates hourly supervisors and salaried supervisors to teach and train them on the processes of Walmart. I also will be working side-by-side with the management of the stores to make improvements and find the root cause to correct issues.

I was managing the third highest volume online grocery department for Walmart on the West Coast. When I got there we were doing a little over 300 orders a day and by the time I left we were doing about 450. Our metrics on all of our associates performance had increased to company standards. I was managing to hourly supervisors who had 70 associates under them. Dealing with total store issues to make sure that the online grocery department was able to function. This was about a $14 million business a year that I was managing out of the store. For the months that I was in role high promoted for hourly supervisors (team leads) and one team lead to a coach at another store.

When got to my store we were over spent on supplies and wages and we were about 99% to sales plan. We also were to inventory the month after I started. I was able to get the store prepped for inventory and we came in below what was expected. There were a lot of broken processes and so over the next few month I had to build strong relationships with associates and help them develop so that they would want to run the processes and run them right. In Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb we exceeded 100% of our plan and in some months with a double digit comps over last year. We are on track for inventory (even though it’s going to be in 18 months to 24 month inventory) to come in under our shrink target in a store that has been high shrink for a while. The team has helped establish a good associate culture where they are happy and wanting to build their career. I currently have 191 associates and I have promoted 2 Operations managers and 10 hourly supervisor in this store.

I have both fresh and operations assistant manager positions while in the store 5600. I was given the WAGJLL (what a good job looks like) Award while I was at the store for my merchandising. I was also flown to Utah to create a merchandising display for a grand opening store. Toward the end of my time in this position I covered three other stores over a five month period as acting Store Manager while the stores were looking for Store Manager’s and then was promoted directly after that.

I was promoted to a operations manager, where I was responsible for all frontend and backroom processes.

I started here as a part time cart pusher and in the first 6 months was made a Team Lead. On my way to being a team lead. I was a deli associate and a meat cutter. I continued my career by spending 6 months to a year in every team lead position in the store (Fresh, Hardlines, Center Section, Overnights, ext).
