The Communications Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Worship Arts Pastor to coordinate Church-wide communications. Coordinate all aspects of the various communications projects and play a supportive role in administrating tasks for Discovery Church’s communications team.Primary Responsibilities: • Liaison: working with individual ministry areas to see that their communications needs are met • Brand/Quality management: Work closely with the graphic designer(s) to ensure messaging is consistent with overall communications objectives and branding guidelines• Project coordination: General project coordination and upkeep of the project management system• Weekly Production: Responsible for support as it relates to all weekend communications collateral including but not limited to:o Preparing final collateral (next steps/message notes – print & electronic versions, announcements/slide support, etc) for weekend worship services o Ordering print collateral through various vendorso Overseeing all in-house printing• Distribution: Responsible for the distribution of all final print and digital files• Website Content Management: Review and update all web copy content as needed• Social networking: Responsible for updating social networking sites on behalf of Discovery Church (Facebook, twitter, etc.)• Book keeping: Project estimates, delivery receipts, invoices, account coding, misc. reimbursement receipts, etc.• Advertising: Works with outside vendors as it relates to advertising• Vendor Relations: establishes new vendor relations; manages current vendor relations and maximizes volume discounts, donations, etc. • Oversees and coordinates all volunteers as it relates to communications• Contributes to the overall effectiveness of the department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member• Performs related work as required
