Using custom chatops (Salt, BASH, and Slack), designed and automated methods to interactively manage version control for various Dev and Prod client pools, delivering and applying updates to remote thin client devices via commands issued in Slack channels.⬥ Server Management for Cloud Infrastructure.Monitored server health, software deployment, the integrity of vital configuration files, scheduled tasks, and services. Remediating and notifying when events exceeded acceptable margins. ⬥ Custom tools for user management. Including locating a session on an RDSH with an option to restart, tracking user connections, and identifying specific user logins to assist sales team. ⬥ Thin Client Optimization and Imaging.Using Salt, created hundreds of verifiable states to ensure consistency during development of a base OS image, and preparation of the image for a factory provisioning process. I started in their POS hardware depot, and at the end of my time there I was a member of a five-person team tasked with maintaining approximately 2,500 nodes across 400 sites running proprietary POS software on a QNX (Unix) platform. During my time there I was able to learn to be effective in a variety of roles.
