Field Engineer, OSP Communication

With 16 years of OSP Construction and Customer Operations experience, I have been given the opportunity to run the Fielding Department here at Ridgeline Telecom. In years past, creating a strategic alliance and a solid working relationship with OSP Engineering enabled me to have a tremendous jumpstart to this position. Our Fielding Team’s objective is to focuses on giving a complete, quality package, either aerial or underground survey to our Engineering Department. We strive to deliver ahead of our due date and error free. Being a team member here at Ridgeline Telecom has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling. The atmosphere here is cutting edge and fast past with a high attention to detail.

OSP Construction Local Manager running a team of 50+ employees, three teams including a Line Crew with DOT responsibilities, BAU Cooper Splicing Crew and a Fiber Splicing Crew. This involved all responsibilities for Safety, Productivity, Quality, Overtime, and all due date deliverables.

I started out with Verizon as a Cable Splicer, splicing copper and fiber and then moving on to an OSP Coordinator Inspector/Manager. Responsible for all aspects of OSP Construction as well as Customer Operations for telecommunications.

As a Sheet Metal Mechanic my responsibilities included the daily maintenance and support of the KC-135 and C-141 aircraft. Scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, including daily and phase inspections to both aircraft. Structural repair was routine work to keep the fleet tactical.

As owner operator I prepared metal surfaces for the application of electrostatic powder coatings. Sandblasted all types of metal surfaces and other alloys, performed formal inspections of all parts to insure the structural integrity and repaired damaged parts as required. Applied electrostatic coating to parts and ensuring parts have proper coverage.

I have 18 years in the aviation industry including manufacturing, extensive line and heavy maintenance experience with McDonnell Douglas/Boeing and 2 years with the Recovery and Modifications Services (RAMS) organization. Combined aircraft experience at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing for the following aircraft, MD-80, DC-10, MD-11, 717, 737, T-45 and C-17 aircraft.

Inspected, maintained, and repaired CH-46 helicopter airframe systems and power plant systems to insure tactical readiness of the fleet as well as all in-flight crew-member responsibilities.
