Responsible for the Global Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Order Management and Manufacturing of the Ultrasound Systems, Transducers, and Catheters business. Utilizing four Siemens' in-house factories combined with three Contract Manufacturers to deliver best-in-class, quality medical systems and devices. The Systems manufacturing is a high mix/low volume in-house CTO operation, with sub-assemblies outsourced to CM's. The Device production is high volume/low mix make-to-stock manufacturing in our South Korea factory. Utilizing LEAN production / Six Sigma principles pared with automation and digitizing of repetitive functions to maintain <98% yields and <.05% returns. Product BOM cost reductions of 20%+ and annual productivity improvements have increased profit margins and improved Ultrasounds P&L. I was also the Executive Sponsor for our D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) Group in 2019.

Led the Global Operations of a $100M+ corporation, Reporting functions were: Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, NPI, Operations Engineering, Product Engineering R&D, Logistics, Quality, Customer Services, IT, and Order Management. Established positive executive relationships with our Contract Manufacturers and OEM partners. Managed in-house factories in the US, Germany, and China. Successful acquisition of Imation RDX in August 2015, Tandberg Data merger in 2014, and Overland Storage in January 2015. Reduced OPEX by 30%+ to increase cash flow and margins, reduced COGS by 17%+ in the first year, and successfully launched over twenty new products. Zero revenue misses due to supply or quality issues.Implemented Lean process improvements and a monthly S&OP process, Operations Metric Reviews and weekly Sales Forecast and Pipeline Reviews.Consolidated manufacturing to three primary factories and eliminated redundant vendors in the newly merged combined supply chain. Restructured the business into cross functional work teams to allow leaders to make decisions without slowing down progress.Managing Director of our China and Japan entities with legal representation responsibilities.

HP acquired 3PAR in August 2010 where I spearheaded a successful supply chain and manufacturing operations organization that grew from $17M to $89M in four years, transitioning from a small privately held entity to an IPO in 2009, then acquired by HP in 2010. The operations team was stellar in accomplishing this growth, with zero line down material shortages, while maintaining a 99.999% product up-time. All manufacturing was in the USA, and still exceeded target COGS and margin goals.Managed the IT and Facilities team though Oracle ERP and Cisco telephony implementations.Achieved a US Government Facility Clearance with the DOD/Homeland Security under my leadership as Facility Clearance Officer (FSO). At HP, my team successfully transitioned supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing lines from the California factory to contract manufactures in Czech Republic, Singapore, and Texas. Completed on time during a 405% demand upside. Appointed to HP's Corporate Global Logistics Board chartered to optimize HP's Tax Advantaged Manufacturing model and reduce global freight and transportation spend by 15%.Managed a supply chain material spend of $250M+, maintained successful supplier/vendor relationships and reduced the Cost of Goods Sold by 30% in the first year of integration.Traveled extensively to Europe and Asia, refining a well rounded understanding of various cultures and customs.

Adaptec acquired Snap Appliance in 2004. As the new VP of Global Operations, I was challenged with: - restructuring an organization of 800+ employees- reduce product costs & increase gross margins- improve the sales operations processes and fine tune the forecasting accuracy- cut manufacturing overhead and consolidate factoriesResponsibilities included; world wide manufacturing, quality, operations engineering, demand planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, NPI ( New Product Introduction ), and sales order management. Improved relationships and management of several contract manufacturing partners, and sold the Adaptec owned manufacturing factory in Singapore. Reduced 2500 active sku's by 60% and successfully dropped $80M inventory to $18M and improved profit margin 18%. Resigned from Adaptec to pursue a very successful executive position at 3PAR.

Managed the Operations for the new Storage Division. My organization included, Global Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management. I left to be part of the Snap Appliance acquisition team.

Successfully launched a new high tech factory in Thailand, hiring 1500 people and growing revenue from Zero to $18M in two years. Developed key relationships with major HDD OEM's, and supply base across China, Viet Nam, Singapore, and Taiwan. Grew OEM Sales by 36% for the APAC region.

Quality Product is a mid-size sheet metal and machine shop company. I joined a fellow IBM engineer, to work with his father with the goal of the two of us eventually taking over the company. We were contracted by IBM, Westinghouse, and other fortune 500 companies to make prototype and low volume sheetmetal and machined parts using state of art CNC,DNC, and CAD-CAM technologies.

Part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team designing and implementing robotic cells and automated manufacturing lines for high volume production. In 1988, our team won the Automation Line of the Year, sponsored by a leading manufacturing magazine and the Sociaty of Manufacturing Engineers.
