Responsible for leading all aspects of a local health department, including management of funding & leadership of employees to carry out the mission of "Promoting and Improving the Health and Wellness of our Community" for a county of 50,000 residents.Accomplishments: Generated $473,000 cash surplus during last three years compared to $694,000 cash deficit in three years preceding. --Created Safe Community Coalition and led it to Safe Communities America Accreditation, a National Safety Council Program.--Acquired grant and implemented Public Health Dental Hygienist program in Jessamine and Mercer Counties.--Implemented Diabetes Prevention Program in Jessamine County--Successful in implementing a Syringe Exchange Program with passage by Board of Health, City Commission & Fiscal Court. Responsible for managing all financial operations of a ten county district health department with annual revenues of approximately $17M. The function of the district health department is oversight of public health programs including Environmental, Clinical & Educational throughout the ten county Lake Cumberland area. Accomplishments: Generated $212,000 surplus during first year following a prior year cash deficit. Reduced FTE's in finance while maintaining workload through increased efficiency while increasing revenues from $8,000,000 to $17,000,000.

Responsible for managing all financial aspects of a multi-faceted medical products company. The multiple lines of business include an infusion pharmacy, durable medical equipment, respiratory supplies and nutrition products which are sold primarily to home patients and skilled nursing facilities. Accomplishments: Implemented divisional costing process by product leading to the identification of non-profitable business sectors which were eliminated. With elimination of substantial overhead related to these divisions, the monthly NIBT was affected positively by approximately $50,000.
