I have worked with Elmwood homes since Oct. 2018. They where building about 20 homes a year at that time. I was the 3rd full time employee. Both owners where building homes and trying to grow a company and I was specifically hired to help relieve some of the construction day to day for both owners. We build approximately 100 homes a year now. I have learned so much from Elmwood and their leadership. It has been such a blessing to be a part of a team that pours into you and continues to encourage growth. Since I’ve been at Elmwood Homes I have had, and have, many roles. They have trusted me to grow from just a “builder” to Director of Construction. As the Construction Director, I am responsible for all aspects of construction and the warranty for all of our homes. Myself or one of the managing partners inspect and approve all homes before they are showcased to the client for closing. I track all homes to ensure reasonable production times as well as their corresponding builders. I’m proud to say our builders are finishing houses from construction start to close on average of 125 days. Some have closed in as little as 95 days. I can’t brag on my team enough for rebounding so well and pushing through the many challenges we experience since COVID. They are exceptional. We also have the best warranty team in the metroplex in my opinion. It is lead by our warranty manager and he enlists the help of each builder as necessary to continue to serve our customers after they have closed. Elmwood is such an amazing team, I am nothing without them and they are nothing without me. We practice cross departmental cooperation and personal responsibility. Through this service to each other we are able to give uncommon customer service to all of our clients.

I was hired to help build homes on the western edge of John Houston Homes normal operating area in Burleson,TX. I worked with a few other superintendent/builders and several sales people in the west. I built homes in Crowley, Burleson, Rendon, and Joshua over a 5 year period. Through the guidance of JHH, I helped established good relationships with the city of Burleson and its Bulding and Permit dept. I worked side by side with our sales team to build homes and provide uncommon customer service. I learned so much about good customer service and skills to manage a community and not just a home. It’s really is about the people you serve. The sales team in the west was exceptional. We always worked together to solve problems and provide a high quality product. We were able to rise above normal sales/construction divisions and provide the customers with an experience they have never had. Our favorite compliments always came from realtors and buyers who expected to “blue tape” the house at the orientation and realized they didn’t have to. We loved exceeding our customers expectations. Over all, JHH taught me about the importance of relationships and how they play into a highly successful environment.
