Randy Holt started his career in the drilling industry when he was 16 years old working as a driller's helper and advancing to become a driller. In the late 1970's he started Holt Drilling and Pump Services, a domestic cable tool drilling company, however at that time the nation’s economy was very volatile which dictated he cease operations. He joined Armstrong Drilling as a driller, drilling large diameter, high production water wells until 1984.In 1984 Randy founded Holt Drilling, drilling large diameter, high production water wells in addition to domestic water wells. Holt Drilling quickly grew into the largest full service drilling company in the Pacific Northwest, with over 30 employees, offering; water wells, environmental drilling, geotechnical drilling, site clearing, test pit digging, well rehabilitation, aquifer testing, well repairs, pump sales and services. In 2004 Holt Drilling was sold to Boart Longyear.After a brief time, Randy left Boart Longyear. In 2007 Randy and Barbara Holt established Holt Services, Inc. providing water well drilling, well development, pump and aquifer testing, pump sales and servicing. In 2012, due to client demand, drilling services were expanded to include environmental and geotechnical drilling. By 2016 Holt Services, Inc. had grown to over 85 employees and has reestablished itself as the largest full services drilling company in the Pacific Northwest.
