Collaborate with and lead the Accounts Payable, Financial Controls, Property Accounting and Payroll functions for AES's US Strategic Business Unit. - Work with 45 professionals across multiple locations in the US. - Actively lead monitoring and testing of controls for Corporate parent as well as three non-accelerated SoX filers.- Manage payroll functions for over 3,000 employees.- Manage property accounting activities for an asset base of over $7 billion.- Responsible for Accounts Payable functions for 12 different entities including two vertically-integrated utilities.- Evaluated, developed and deployed organization-wide Corporate Credit Card program including the implementation of Concur Travel and Expense for over 3,000 employees.

Responsible for leading the implementation of a standardized Chart of Accounts for one of our US subsidiaries. Also, led efforts to complete SOX 404 control self-assessment testing for three US entities.

- Coached and mentored 21 internal auditors and managers in five geographically disparate sites to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures as well as the Institute of Internal Audit's International Professional Practices Framework.- Successfully supervised audits and collaborated with AES management teams across four continents resulting in the completion of the 2012-13 audit plan on time and on budget with the issuance of 43 audit reports or memos.- Led special audit project in collaboration with AES Compliance concurrently across all AES Strategic Business Units at seven different, global locations from December 2012 to March 2013.
