Contracted to British Telecom for IPT support of the Worley Parsons Cisco voice network. Primary duties are to work special projects for remediation of VoIP implementation issues. Conduct design analysis of internal quality of service (QOS) issues, and create a template and process to extract QoS reports from Call Manager. Perform design analysis of 911 calling, identify issues and corrections, complete 911 call testing and work with circuit carriers to correct any configuration issues either internally to the network or with the PSTN user PSAP database. Conduct a design review of the Cisco Emergency Responder configuration, identify and recommend where CER can be deployed and how it can be improved, Analyze multiple building groups that share PSTN circuits to ensure that they are using the correct circuits to accurately report caller location for 911 calls.

Contracted to Dimension Data for IPT support of Service Desk for customer Cisco voice networks and applications. Work trouble tickets to identify, diagnose and resolve complex technical problems reported by customers. Issues include problems with SIP trunking, voice gateway configurations, dial plan errors, and Unity Connection configurations. Diagnosis requires acquisition and analysis of call debugs from routers, traces and logs from Cisco Call Manager, and console logs from IPT phones. Resolution often requires redesign of dial plan, digit manipulation, class of service modification, system call handler redesign and correction of existing configuration errors.

Network engineer for Managed Network Services Organzation, providing project and implementation support for Cisco VoIP systems for large international corporate customers. Primary responsibilities included system analysis, design changes and technical support for projects involving Cisco Unified Communications systems, voice gateways and host servers. Products designed, implemented and supported include SIP trunking, Presence servers, Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) router and Cisco Unity Connection. Secondary responsibilities include troubleshooting of voice Quality of Service (QoS) issues, PSTN voice circuits, dial plans and contact center system integration.

Lead voice engineer and team leader for conversion of Cisco VoIP systems at Merrill Lynch branch locations. Primary role was creation of site design documentation required to move VoIP services from legacy ML data/voice network to Bank of America data/voice network. Led the site design team by directing site assignments, training and mentoring voice engineers, peer reviewing documents and organizing documentation methods. Increased team efficiency and accuracy by 50% by restructuring and linking site design documentation to reduce input errors. Created and managed router hardware ordering methods, worked with warehouse and project management to improve recycled equipment tracking and placed weekly orders for multiple sites.

Provided infrastructure engineering for Cisco VoIP equipment and database engineering for line requirements for replacement of PBX systems. Led teams of technicians and engineers on site surveys, development of requirements, testing, implementation and cutover of Cisco VoIP solutions at BoA locations across the country. Work included research into toll-free numbers, PBX programming, circuit orders, user consultation and training and development of documentation required for system implementation, testing and cutover.
