Fascinated with computers, I began programming at 13. I built several primitive graphic adventure games that my friends loved to come and play. I built a compiler, an ISAM database system, and directly coded communication protocols at the hardware level just because I wanted to understand how things worked. I taught myself assembly, machine code, and C along the way. I have a passion for solving problems efficiently, and I believe that working on devices at the lowest level gives a unique problem-solving set of skills.A builder at heart, I've built motorcycles, cars, and planes. I always have a project. The sense of accomplishment drives me. I challenge myself. I love to learn something new, and see what I can make. I am the inventor of devices and processes, sometimes strictly using tech, and other times combining my technical background with other areas of interest. From my very first job, I've always landed in a leadership position sooner or later. While my technical skills are my foundation; I love working with and for people even more. Solving resource challenges to meet deadlines, improving a design to up reliability or save incubation time, or figuring out how to stretch the budget are compelling issues that I find even more rewarding than the technology. Working with good people and giving them the environment to thrive and grow...there is no greater reward.

This role required working directly with internal customers to understand the gaps in the automation process. Weekly ideation sessions diagrammed the gaps and possible algorithms to fill those gaps.- Implemented Stanford NLP to understand vesting phrases and find proper-pronouns / trained corpus on vesting phrases- Built recursive descent parser to tokenize English sentences (vesting phrases) for various parts that added meaning to the phrases- Derived method to score the accuracy of OCR results and suitability of vesting phrases for use without human review- Built cognitive correction engine to detect and correct common flaws in OCR and OCR extraction- Added the ability to check names against a fraud database and allowed the detection of fraudulent activities where it was previously manual.- Built an engine that "understood" the vesting phrases and could chain and calculate every parties interest in a property / identify unknown grantor / granteesPrototype was up-and-running in production and producing meaningful results in less than two months. In six months, the service was scoring all vesting phrases and review of results showed that the service was correct in its assessment of accuracy at a rate better than 95% when names could be matched. Six months prior: every OCR result was an unknown and there was nothing that could help assess the accuracy. This technology is a game-changer.

In addition, these changes paved the way to open system to future automation efforts which I undertook personally in 2017 / 2018.
