I'm a seasoned Mechanical Engineer who has developed products for Mil-Aero prime contractors for a good portion of my career. For the past few years, I supervised the engineering team in the new product development division of Infinite Electronics. Under my leadership my team was highly successful and we launched a host of fully qualified lightning protection /surge suppression designs to protect military and commercial electronics.Notable career accomplishments:-Managed a product development team that successfully designed and qualified a communications filter and surge suppressor for RTX ahead of schedule and on budget- the only program in our customer's memory to ever exceed both marks.-Designed, analyzed, and tested dozens of lightning surge suppression and RF filter modules for the Patriot and THAAD Missile defense platforms, Zumwalt, and Northrop's IBCS.-Provided mechanical design that enabled launch of an entire HEMP protected product line of cabinets/enclosures, POE modules, and RF filters.-Provided mechanical design support for a super high density fiber optic telecommunications rack.-Designed a rack-mounted DC power load center with advanced circuit level monitoring. -Delivered concept-to-product design and test support on an overhead cable management support system.-Provided my team with mechanical design fixes for production power distribution units that improved quality and lead times.-Conducted an in-depth research study of the heat transfer co-efficient of spray cooling for a heated cylindrical surface. Developed and patented the resultant actuated atomizer and a passive fluid recovery system for multiphase fluid.-Served on the Material Review Board, a product standardization board, and a team which created a SprayCool Technology Training Program.-Authored my company's ISO 9000 Design Control Operating Procedures and trained company personnel on the procedures I wrote.-Established and managed an Integration Lab.-Named inventor on 11 issued patents and am the sole inventor for 1 of these.Specialties: FEA, mechanical design, sheet metal, electronics cooling, thermal analysis, heat transfer, SolidWorks, ProE, mechanical and software patent prep and pros.
