Deep water field development and capital projects for manufacturing facilities. Managed technical and capital projects for plant construction, expansion, and optimization. Led customer projects department and management of major customer projects and R & D projects. Strengthened strategic customer relationships through reliable performance and proj ect partnering. Provided organizational development and mentoring and work process improvement for project management, engineering, procurement, operations, standardization and branding. Key customer projects included Shell in ultra-deep water offshore Brazil, with electrical power cables bundled with hydraulic and signal control elements within the umbilicals. Other clients included ExxonMobil for Serpentina and Kizomba projects, FMC / Total for their Pazflor and Rosa projects (all in West Africa ultra-deep water). In 2011-12, led a process improvement project for Oceaneering’s Sales team for systematic opportunity screening and database utilization.

Support contractor for project management, system engineering, planning, testing, and evaluation for counter-terrorism technology research and development and deployment programs. Led projects focused on technologies for situational awareness, combating terrorism, and special operations in military and civilian applications. Led the project team that developed expeditionary wireless network systems of plug and play sensors for surveillance, detection, and command and control over a battle space or area of interest including critical transportation infrastructure assets including airports, ports, and rail yards. Biometric technologies and functions were integrated into the systems. System users and sponsors were the U.S. Department of Defense (e.g. Navy, Marines, Defense Threat Reduction Agency), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (e.g. Transportation Security Administration, Coast Guard, Customs and Border Patrol), and the U.S. Department of the Interior (e.g. National Park Service).

Support contractor for project management for defense technology R & D programs at the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center – Panama City, FL (NSWC-PC) and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, FL. Responsible for projects adapting, integrating, and applying technologies for combating terrorism (robotics, wireless networks for command and control, sensors for various threat agents, underwater forensics, chemical plume modeling, and first responder training) and testing new technologies for improving security at National Park Service sites including the Statue of Liberty.

Responsible for project management and engineering for Wellstream’s Houston-based deep water projects. Management of interfaces with clients and with Halliburton’s Houston and global organizations.Successfully co-managed a major Joint Industry Project for qualification of flexible riser design which led to the breakthrough awards of major contract awards for start-up manufacturer Wellstream. Responsible for setting up Wellstream's operations and business development team in Brazil, including two years in-country assignment. Established a multi-disciplined team of twenty Brazilian national professionals. Developed and executed a global customer satisfaction and feedback survey that transformed and improved Wellstream’s business strategy, market position, and customer relationships. Wellstream’s business in Brazil grew from ~$20 million to ~$250 million during the period, including Petrobras’ Barracuda-Caratinga field development. Responsible for management and supervision of project managers and their staffs, plus marketing and proposal preparation staffs in Panama City and Houston.Responsible for development of European raw material sources to support construction, start-up, and operation of Wellstream’s second manufacturing plant at Newcastle, England. Responsible for recruiting, training, technology and company culture transfer, and team-building for Newcastle plant staff.Responsible for management and supervision of project managers and their staffs for execution of flexible pipe supply contracts. Projects total value: $200 million total over three years.Responsible for executing projects for design, manufacturing and installation of flexible risers and flowlines utilized for offshore platforms, subsea oil and gas wells, and floating production systems.

Responsible for project engineering and management for numerous onshore and offshore projects, including supervision of project teams, subcontractors and equipment suppliers, interfacing with operating plants, onshore and offshore construction of plants and pipelines.
