Formulate, organize, and direct the overall operations for the Jacksonville Correctional Center, Greene County and Pittsfield work camps. Supervise staff; maintain and enforce disciplinary, safety, security and custodial measures. Administratively responsible and accountable for the execution of policies and procedures in the management of the institution while serving as Duty Warden. Oversee overall operations of physical plant operations, dietary services, offender discipline, and other logistical support.

Plan and coordinate the investigations program throughout the State for the Illinois Department of Corrections. Through subordinate supervisors; coordinate the activities of staff conducting investigations of high level employees, executive personnel or officials; review final investigative reports, develop policies and procedures for administrative staff; implement policies and procedures for the program, implement data management procedures, and serve as a full line supervisor. Collaborate with the State's Attorney office and act as a liaison with other law enforcement agencies, prepare investigations and case documentation for prosecution; implement program review studies; compile information and prepare special reports for management.

Springfield Operations Center

Served as the day shift supervisor. Assigned staff to meet day to day operations. Assisted in the planning and executing of a statewide program designed to coordinate the apprehension functions between IDOC, law enforcement, and the public.

Training Academy

Participated in developing and presenting labor relations, contract administration and employee orientation and developmental training programs for state employees; prepared instructional material; participated in the evaluation of audio and visual training aids; participated in the evaluation and determination of user training needs; functioned as a trainer in the presentation of instructional material. Specialized in training the following curriculums: Control Tactics, Firearms, Chemical Agents, Security Threat Groups, Searches, Restraints, Critical Incident Command, and Hostage Negotiation. As well as developed the curriculum and instructed Labor Relations and Bomb Threat. The majority of the classes taught were certified through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. Served as the Class Advisor for Correctional Officer Trainees for ten years.
