Responsible for overall financial operations of acute-care facilities including accounting, budgetary, audits, tax and other financial planning activities within the hospital, emergency room and clinics.Management of Accounting, Payroll, HIM, Business Office, Admitting, Materials/Purchasing and IT departments. Work with systems management to develop and implement policies and procedures to support short- and long-range goals and objectives. Contact negotiation, evaluation and value/cost reviews. Provide financial leadership to hospital directors and officers to help create ownership in hospital goals and encourage active participation in decisions that impact the hospital, clinic and emergency room. Ensuring the hospital meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements. Provide financial expertise in the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue. Managing costs by continually seeking data that will identify opportunities and work with CEO & CNO to eliminate non-value costs. Analyzing areas in planning, promoting and conducting organization-wide performance improvement activities. Represent the hospital at meetings of hospital board of directors as well as relevant community meetings. Create and present the hospital's monthly operation reviews. Responsible for the administrative aspects of leading the department/teams to include budgeting, revenue reviews, labor costs, time approvals, payrolls, staff evaluations and expense approvals.
